ROLAND C. (BILLY) JACKSON
Peninsula - Yorktown, Va. Roland (Billy) Jackson, 71, passed away Friday, June 24, 2016. He retired in 1983 from the US Army following 20 years of service to his country. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and an avid NASCAR fan. He was a 1963 graduate of Norview High School.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roland and Joyce Jackson. He is survived by his loving wife Deanna Jackson; a son Sean (Jane) of Yorktown; daughter Michelle Gainor of San Angelo, Texas; brother Larry Jackson (Ruth) of Chesapeake, 5 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. The family wishes to extend their sincere appreciation to the staff of Morningside Assisted Living and the ICU staff of Mary Immaculate Hospital.
The family will receive friends from 6-7 PM on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 in the Chapel of Amory's Funeral Home on Grafton Road in Yorktown, Virginia. Services will be private.
