Claude Quay Fulcher, 76, passed away May 11, 2021 at home surrounded by his family. He was a graduate of Norview "Tech", and served in the U.S. Army. Claude worked for 30 years for Virginia Dominion Power as a meter supervisor. He was a member of Kempsville Masonic Lodge #196, and was a Shriner. Claude was also a member of Epworth United Methodist Church in Norfolk.



Claude was a founding member of Can Crushers and a proud part of the Carova Beach Community. After retirement, Claude could be found in his "office" (the garage) at Oxbow or Carova. He is survived by his wife Jackie; his children Lisa and Tommy Bailey and David Fulcher; and his grandchildren Grayson and Kacy Bailey and Truitt Fulcher.



A visitation will be held Friday, May 14, from 5-7pm at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 5033 Rouse Dr. Virginia Beach. A graveside service will be held Saturday, May 15, at 3pm at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, 6329 E. Virginia Beach Blvd. Norfolk. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Carova Beach Fire Department or The Beacon House.



In passing, Claude would like to say to his family and friends, "I'm gonna sit right here, at the edge of this pier and watch the sunset disappear...and drink a beer."
