Ronald O. “Ronnie” Andrews, born October 28, 1944, died June 26, 2004. A loving husband, father, grandfather, son and brother. He was predeceased by a granddaughter, a brother, Donald Horne, and grandparents. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Vickie; two daughters, Sherri L. Solis` and her friend Tim Edgerton, and Christina Andrews Linnette and her husband Demetrius; three granddaughters, Shondrayia V. Solis`, Shontel Linnette, both of Norfolk, VA, and Harley-Rose Griggs of Astabulah, OH; his parents, Alice and William B. Horne; a brother, David G. Horne and wife Susan and daughter Miranda; a brother-in-law, Curtis E. Edwards and wife Vicki; sister-in-laws, Susan Livingston, Lynnette Castelli and Lloydette Diggs and husband Richard; numerous aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins. He served in the U.S. Air Force in the special forces and was a Vietnam veteran. He was a Private Investigator and also retired from Civil Service as a Purchasing Agent. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 1, 2004, at 1 p.m. in Lafayette Presbyterian Church at the corner of Lafayette Blvd. and Tidewater Dr., Norfolk, VA by the Rev. Dr. Max G. Culler. Burial will be in Riverside Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Thursday from 12 to 1 p.m. at the church. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel in charge of arrangements.
