Johnny Mayes Yeates, age 76, of Camden, NC died Thursday, May 27, 2021 at Sentara Albemarle Medical Center. He was born in Norfolk, VA on November 2nd, 1944 to the late Plum Alton Yeates and Mildred Marie Rembert Yeates and was married to Sandra Lee Hewitt Yeates. He was retired after a long career as assistant marine operations manager. He was a Mason and a member of the Friends of Police Association (FOPA). He was a loving husband and father and a doting grandfather.



Left to treasure his memories are Sandra, his wife of fifty years; two daughters, Tina Stevens (William) of Chesapeake, VA and Peggy Hull (Ray) of Sebring, FL; and a son, Chris Yeates (Teresa) of Chesapeake, VA; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
