Cecil H. Armstrong , 49, of the 3900 block of Marina Lake Road, a general manager, died Nov. 10, 1993, in Chesapeake General Hospital. Mr. Armstrong was born in Norfolk and was employed with Hercules Fence Company. He was a member of Avalon Church of Christ. Survivors include Bonnie, and daughters, Rhonda Armstrong of Newport News and Bandi Rood and son-in-law, Jonathan Rood of Newport News; five sons, Samuel Armstrong Jr. and Richard Armstrong of Elizabeth City, Robert Armstrong , John Rose Jr. and Timothy Rose, all of Columbia, N.C. A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Avalon Church of Christ, 804 Woodstock Road, Virginia Beach, by Jimmy Bennett. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today. Kellam Funeral Home, Pleasant Hall Chapel, is handling arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Leukemia Foundation or to Avalon Church of Christ.
