Claude Quay Fulcher, 76, passed away May 11, 2021 at home surrounded by his family. He was a graduate of Norview "Tech", and served in the U.S. Army. Claude worked for 30 years for Virginia Dominion Power as a meter supervisor. He was a member of Kempsville Masonic Lodge #196, and was a Shriner. Claude was also a member of Epworth United Methodist Church in Norfolk.
Claude was a founding member of Can Crushers and a proud part of the Carova Beach Community. After retirement, Claude could be found in his "office" (the garage) at Oxbow or Carova. Mr. Garrett was the son of the late Claude B. Garrett and was preceded in death by a son, John A. Garrett II.

John was born February 5, 1944 in Portsmouth, Virginia to John H. Garris and Denise Osmundson who predeceased him, as well as his much loved brother, Dennis Osmundson. She was a member of Indian River Baptist Church, sang with the gospel group "His Elect", was director of the Indian River Baptist Senior Choir and assisted as pianist at the church. Beloved wife, mother, and friend, Barbara Ann Joyner, 74, of Lexington died Friday, July 10, 2020.
Barbara was born July 13, 1945, in Baltimore, Md.; she was the daughter of the late William “Mel” Hanna and Evelyn Virginia Souders Hanna and sister of the late Donald “Bruce” Hanna.
As a 1967 graduate from Mary Baldwin College, she married her high school sweetheart, James Nurney Joyner Jr. While the two traveled the world as a military family, they raised two children, Virginia “Pebble” West and James “Jamie” Nurney Joyner III. Through over 13 moves, the final one to Lexington in 1996, Barbara made a real home everywhere the family landed.
