Joseph W. Mizelle, Jr.

Norfolk; Joseph William Mizelle, Jr., 63, passed away Monday, November 17, 2008 in Chesapeake General hospital. He resided in Coinjock for the past three years.



He was born in Norfolk the son of the late Joseph William Mizelle, Sr. and Elizabeth Baker Mizelle. Joe retired from the Norfolk Fire Department after twenty three years of service. He also worked as a commercial fisherman and was captain of his boat "Shag Nasty". He was part owner with his cousin of Georges Seafood Market. He served for six years in Virginia National Guard. Joe was well known `as an avid hunter in Curritituck and worked as guide with his father.

Born March 11, 1945, in Sampson, N.Y., she was a daughter of the late Eugene Atmar and Emily Cooper Mount. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as an aide by Westmoreland Manor near Greensburg. Virginia Beach - Mildred M. "Anita" Moke, 69, passed away on Monday, December 29, 2014 in her home.Born in Washington State, she was the widow of Dr. William Henry Moke. She was also preceded in death by her father, Joseph M. Murray.



Mildred was an avid collector of all things Christmas. She was a loving mother and daughter and will be dearly missed by all who knew her, especially by her son, Chris. Chesapeake ‘ Herbert Charles Naprstek, Jr., 59 died Saturday, March 12, 2005. Mr. Naprstek was born in Norfolk to the late Herbert Charles and Pauline Finch Naprstek. He retired as Commander from the U.S. Navy. Mr. Naprstek loved the beach and fishing. He was a member of the Kempsville Masonic Lodge and a Shriner. He was predeceased by a son, Michael Jon Naprstek.
