Larry Bryan Rowe, Sr., 62, of the 4300 block of Surf Avenue, left his earthly life December 14, 2006, to be with his Lord. A native of Norfolk, VA, he was a retired Banker with Land America. He was an active member and trustee of the First Church of God, Anderson of Norfolk, VA. He was a 1963 graduate of Norview High School and loved a good game of golf. Georgeanne Sharp, born June 27, 1945, in Newport News to Maggie Wood Brett Sharp and James Sharp II, passed away on November 15, 2021, after a brief illness. She attended Mary Washington College. Her love of travel led her to become a flight attendant with Pan American Airlines. She later worked for Marriott Hotels as an International Sale Rep. Her passion for history guided her to lead tours at various military installations and local historical sites.

Norfolk - Melvin Lee Sheldon, Sr., 73, passed away on February 21, 2016.



Born in Norfolk, VA, he was the son of the late William and Virginia Sheldon. He was a retired Scheduling Analyst for Hampton Roads Transit and was an U.S. Air Force veteran.

Ann Stanfield Burnette, 73, died peacefully at the Williamsburg Hospice House with family and friends by her side on October 1, 2018. Ann was born in Norfolk, and a 1963 graduate of Norview High School, where she met her husband of 49 years, Henry C. Burnette, Jr. After living abroad as a military wife, Ann moved to the peninsula in 1978. She retired from Allstate Insurance in 2011.
